SV Promotion: Tell Your Teammates, Get $15 Sports Authority Gift Card

Sportsvite wants to grow our community like a locker room staph infection (our interpretation of Viral Marketing). The best way for that to happen is by allowing and empowering our members (that’s y’all) to spread, share and evangelize the virtue of Sportsvite.

So this week we launched our version or a referral contest called Tell Your Teammates. Any Sportsvite members that recruits eight new people to join Sportsvite by August 15th receives a $15 digital gift card to Sports Authority. For those popular, ambitious, and rec-sports crazed members we are also awarding a $200 gift card to the person who recruits the most new members. We’ll have a leaderboard of top recruiters on the site (leaderboards = cool). You can also check out the official rules for all the small type goodness from our legal friends.

The more friends you have on Sportsvite the easier it will be for you (and for them) to organize sports activities. The most obvious application is managing your real life sports teams on Sportsvite. But Sportsvite can also be a place to organize pick-up games, find local activities or even to learn about new sports. We use all those super crazy algorithms to figure out which of your sports-playing friends you are most compatible with. Perhaps you didn’t know your roommate also loves to play Tetherball until you connected with him on Sportsvite!
