Sportsvite has recently racked up a few nice site reviews that are worth mentioning and that we can certainly stash away under the press category.
The Sports blog What For? written by Derek Poole put together a post that’s as articulate and witty than anything we could have come with on our own. His opening lines
You’re a serious baller with no worthy opponents. You’re a tennis nut who can’t find an equally-rated opponent. You just want to play some beach volleyball and gawk at the bikini-clad hotties — but you need teammates so you don’t come off looking like a pervert. You perv. Sportsvite allows weekend warriors to link up with each other through its site and plan outings, maintain teams and fill schedules.
Derek was also thorough in his research digging up our past press on Mashable and even throwing the wRECksports blog a shout out. Furthermore, he also posted the article on Bleacher Report, one of our favorite new sports websites.
The Online publication Lift Magazine also recently threw us some love. They gave props to our “Stop playing with yourself” motto. The Lift has an entire category on the recreational athlete with posts on joggling, go-kart racing and the exercise found within a manual lawnmower.
We’ve added both of these blogs to our blogroll. If you know of any other good blogs out there that celebrates the athlete in all of us non-pros hit us up and let us know about it.
